Job summary

East West Banking Corporation is seeking an AI, ML and Platform Engineering Head to lead strategy, delivery, and operations of the Bank's AI/ML platforms, data pipelines, and cloud services in a hybrid Taguig environment.

You will build and mentor high-performing teams, drive DevOps, MLOps and DataOps, and partner with Risk, IT Operations and Governance to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering; advanced studies in Technology Management or AI are a plus.
• 15+ years in technology leadership, including 5+ years in a senior/executive role with cloud-based data/AI platforms.
• Proven experience leading engineering, platform, and operations teams in regulated industries, preferably banking/financial services.
• Strong expertise in AI/ML infrastructure, cloud-native architectures, model lifecycle management, and enterprise MLOps/DataOps.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic vision, roadmap, and delivery of AI/ML platforms and engineering capabilities to advance AI/data maturity.
• Lead design and optimization of scalable, secure, governed cloud-based platforms supporting the full ML lifecycle.
• Oversee platform operations, ensuring high availability, performance, SLA compliance, and incident management across AI/ML and data environments.
• Drive automation, observability, CI/CD, MLOps, DataOps, and DevOps best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with Technology, Risk, Infrastructure, Data Governance, and Data Science teams to ensure regulatory compliance and readiness.
• Build and develop high-performing engineering teams while fostering innovation and operational excellence.
• Provide leadership on enterprise AI/ML technology adoption for scalable data-driven solutions.
