Job summary

The Habit Food Group in Manila is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead a busy commercial kitchen. You will oversee a team of line cooks, train staff, and drive efficient operations from inventory to workflow optimization.

You’ll mentor the team, promote internal growth, and contribute to new brand development with R&D support, while preparing profitability and inventory reports for leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of proven experience managing a kitchen or a restaurant
• Graduate of an HRM or any related course
• Excellent communication skills (English and Tagalog)
• Proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)
• Understanding of ingredients, equipment and cooking procedures
• Knowledge of best practices in a commercial kitchen setting
• Amenable to work in Makati and/or Pasig

Responsibilities

• Assist Store manager in managing a commercial kitchen with a team of line cooks and assistants, ensuring high efficiency and productivity
• Train, mentor, and motivate team members to foster a culture of people development and internal advancement
• Help implementing and optimizing operational processes such as inventory, station assignments, workflows
• Assist R&D for new brands and dishes (tasting, sourcing ingredients, brainstorming, experimenting)
• Prepare reports on profitability, inventory, sales, etc.

Job Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of proven experience managing a kitchen or a restaurant - including leading and coaching people.
• Graduate of an HRM or any related course.
• Excellent communication skills (English and Tagalog).
• Proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
• Understanding of various ingredients, culinary equipment, and cooking procedures.
• Knowledge of best practices of operating in a commercial kitchen setting.
• Amenable to work in Makati, and/or Pasig

Nice-to-haves:

• Exposure to a few different cuisines in a professional setting is ideal, but not necessary.
• Having produced and released your own dish on a commercial menu is a huge plus.
