Job summary

The SM Store (SM Mart Inc.) is seeking a Research & Design Specialist who collaborates with Store Planning AVP to translate design research into compelling concepts and execution-ready plans.

You will craft presentation materials for concept approval, ensure designs meet standards, and oversee collaboration with consultants and suppliers to translate approved ideas into detailed documents and built outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BS Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design or related field.
• With 1-year experience in Interior Architecture / Design, Space Planning, Retail Design, Construction Supervision; experience in interior fit out and/or retail projects is an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Lumion, Photoshop and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compelling design presentation materials for concept approval
• Monitor implementation quality to maintain high standards of workmanship
• Ensure completeness and timely delivery of ordered materials and fixtures
• Collaborate with design consultants and stakeholders to finalize plans and designs that meet project requirements and standards
• Oversee mock up production in collaboration with suppliers
• Facilitate stakeholder approval for drawings, layout and budget proposals
• Obtain budget approvals and communicate the approved figures to relevant departments
• Coordinate and track the completion of punch list items and rectification works
• Prepare final as built plans and compile actual cost reports for project documentation

The specialist ensures that all designs meet established standards while effectively addressing the needs and expectations of end users.
