Job summary

Toys"R"Us Philippines is seeking a qualified Architect to lead architectural design, develop detailed drawings for new stores and renovations, and ensure projects comply with brand standards.

You will use AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office to prepare plans, coordinate with engineers and store operations, monitor construction, and assemble bid documents as needed. This role is based in Metro Manila and requires on-site collaboration with store teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Architecture with experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
• Preferably with experience in retail construction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates site construction and ensures technical requirements are met with engineers.
• Assists in preparing bid documents, letters, scope of works, and in-house estimates.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. OFFICE DUTIES

• Prepares clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings of new stores and renovations.

• Prepares purchase requisition of OSM, fixtures and equipment of an assigned project and monitors that all are delivered on time and properly.

• Prepares complete bid documents and ensures that they are completely distributed prior to pre-bid conferences.

• Assists in the review of concessionaire/tenants’ design proposals and ensures if the standard design guidelines are being followed prior approval of SPD Manager.

2. ON-SITE/FIELD DUTIES

• Monitors closely site construction of an assigned project to ensure that all trades (contractors and Suppliers) are working cohesively.

• Coordinates and works closely with the engineers to make sure all Technical Requirements are acceptable and installed accordingly.

• Rationalizes and submits weekly construction accomplishments report including updated construction bar charts.

• Coordinates and officiates weekly construction meetings of an assigned project to provide an accurate report of all construction status and concerns.

• Monitors and checks the delivery and quality of the fixtures, OSM materials and equipment on site and ensures all supplies and manufacturers deliver the items per approved design and specifications.

3. OTHERS

• Assists in preparation of all communication letters/memos, scope of works, in-house estimates, specifications and other bid documents.

• Assists in checking and properly acts on maintenance repair works requested by Store Operations.

• Renders schematic design paraphernalia for visual presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of Architecture with experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.

• Preferably with experience in retail construction.
