Tranquilo Cafe in Antipolo seeks an experienced Cafe Manager to lead team operations, oversee frontline staff, and ensure guest hospitality. You will manage scheduling, training, and performance coaching while upholding service standards and food safety.
The role requires strong leadership, planning, and P&L awareness, with hands-on involvement in daily cafe management, inventory control, and POS reporting.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Hire, train, and mentor baristas and support staff, instilling high standards for recipe precision and guest hospitality.
Shift Scheduling: Plan weekly employee schedules to balance operational needs with labor budget targets.
Performance Coaching: Conduct regular evaluations, cultivate a collaborative team spirit, and effectively manage performance or conflict resolutions.
Service Standards: Ensure the floor runs smoothly during peak hours, maintaining quick ticket times and friendly interactions.
Food & Beverage Quality: Verify that espresso extraction, milk texturing, and food preparation consistently meet established recipes and taste criteria.
Health & Food Safety: Maintain strict sanitation protocols for the entire cafe space, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
Inventory & Vendor Control: Track stock levels for perishable coffee beans, dairy/milks, pastries, and utensils, executing smart ordering to minimize waste.
P&L Responsibility: Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales, review profit margins, and manage operating expenses.
Cash & Tech Controls: Enforce cash-handling compliance, reconcile register drawers, and manage the Point of Sale (POS) system data.
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, or a closely related field.
Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven supervisory or managerial experience (e.g., Shift Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager, or Store Manager) specifically within a high-volume cafe, fast-casual restaurant, or specialty coffee chain.
Deep functional knowledge of restaurant operations, coffee brewing equipment, and POS-based reporting systems.
Strong people skills with the ability to lead by example, motivate frontline associates, and calmly address customer concerns.
Excellent planning, organizational, and math skills for inventory forecasting and budgeting.
Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and seasonal holidays to accommodate the cafe's peak hours.
Physical stamina to stand and walk on the sales floor for extended durations and lift items up to 30–50 lbs.
