Job summary

Tamayo's is looking for a diligent dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. You will wash pots, pans and utensils, and perform daily cleaning while observing food-safety standards and FIFO practices.

Role requires at least 1 year of related experience, a vocational diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work under pressure with flexibility in schedule.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to standard procedures.
• Daily cleaning of the kitchen area.
• Segregate trash and perform regular trash runs.
• Keep dish area clean and organized at all times.
• Assist in kitchen preparation and handling deliveries as needed.
• Observe proper food safety practices and FIFO (First In, First Out).
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Responsibility and Accountability

1. Wash by standard procedures all pots, pans, kitchen smallware (except knives and chopping boards), utensils used and others as assigned
2. Daily cleaning of kitchen area.
3. Practices segregation of trash at all times.
4. Performs regular trash runs.
5. Washes all trash bins and necessary equipment and materials under their responsibility.
6. Ensures that the dish area is clean and organized at all times.
7. Conduct weekly general cleaning following the specified schedule or as needed.
8. Request and maintain adequate level of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
9. Observe proper storage of chemicals.
10. Set up all necessary sanitation solutions and counter wiping towels.
11. Assist in kitchen preparation production as assigned.
12. Assist in hauling of delivered items, kitchen equipment and others as instructed
13. Observe standard food safety practices at all times.
14. Practice “CLEAN AS YOU GO” (CAYGO) and “FIRST IN, FIRST OUT” (FIFO) consistently.
15. Performs other duties which may be assigned to him/her from time to time by his/her superiors

Minimum Required Qualifications:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate or equivalent.
2. At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
3. Must be hardworking, honest & responsible.
4. Can work under pressure and is flexible with time.
5. Has a good sense of initiative especially in maintaining the cleanliness of the work area.
