Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. seeks an IT Infrastructure – Networking professional to ensure network performance and security in a healthcare setting. You will monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Cisco-based networks, including switches and ISR routers, while coordinating with vendors for upgrades.

The role emphasizes ITIL-aligned operations, documentation, and continuous improvement to support growth, reliability, and patient care improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Network switches 9300/9500/6800 and routers ISR 4K.
• Proven knowledge of ITIL framework and service management processes.
• LAN and WAN technologies including routing and security components.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performance of technical support projects or tasks per contract and guidelines.
• Monitor, reconfigure and optimize network hardware for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot networking problems independently and investigate root causes.
• Evaluate network performance issues and address availability, utilization, throughput, latency.
• Maintain network performance with monitoring, tuning, and escalation to vendors as needed.
• Develop network access, monitoring, control and documentation to secure the network.
• Upgrade network by working with vendors to test and install enhancements.
• Contribute to achievement of organizational goals by taking ownership of new requests.

Role / Job Summary:

• Responsible for the performance of technical support projects or tasks in accordance with contract requirements, appropriate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Network Monitoring, Performance and capacity planning: monitor, reconfigure and optimize network hardware (i.e. routers, firewalls, switches) for performance improvements and future scalability.
• Troubleshoot straightforward networking problems independently by investigating underlying problems.
• Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
• Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning, troubleshooting network problems and escalating problems to vendor.
• Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation and maintaining documentation.
• Upgrades network by conferring with vendors, developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
