Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Regional Enablement Platform (REP) in Bangalore. You will lead critical regional launches, validate safe deployments, and build tooling to ensure resilient, scalable infrastructure across AMER, EU, and APAC. Your role includes mentoring engineers and shaping multi-region technical strategy.

You will partner with Core Infrastructure to define CI/CD gates, improve reliability, and drive long-term regional expansion with measurable milestones.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• 12+ years of professional experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven track record leading complex, cross-team infrastructure projects with high reliability and scale requirements.
• Strong engineering background in distributed systems, platform engineering, or backend infrastructure, with a focus on operational safety and correctness.

Responsibilities

• Define evidence-based readiness criteria for regional launches, traffic migrations, and failovers.
• Lead end-to-end cross-functional delivery for new-region infrastructure, including safe service behaviors for remote control planes.
• Build reusable validation tooling that accelerates infrastructure integration for new acquisitions and reduces high-priority blockers.
• Mentor and grow senior engineers, elevating technical planning and cross-region execution from Bangalore.
• Collaborate across AMER, EU, and APAC in a global, distributed environment.
