Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Engineering Manager of Managers within the Service Infrastructure group. You will lead multiple teams, set architecture direction, and partner with product engineering to accelerate major launches.

You will coach senior engineers, drive incident response practices, and work across the company to improve platform reliability and scalability. You will collaborate with infrastructure and product leaders, manage line managers, and guide hiring strategies to build high-performing

Qualifications

• Candidate must have 2+ years managing managers of teams of at least 25 people.
• Experience managing teams that ship and operate critical distributed system infrastructure.
• Proven ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders on architectural decisions.
• Experience leading incident response processes and on-call rotations.
• Experience managing API design, abstractions, frameworks, or client libraries.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple teams within Stripe's Service Infrastructure organization.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for architecture and incident response.
• Prioritize work by understanding user needs and product impact.
