Reap, a global fintech company, is seeking an experienced Staff/Tech Lead to shape the embedded finance platform. You will drive architecture, scalability, and modernization while guiding AI-assisted development across multiple product teams.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in software engineering with leadership experience in distributed systems and API platforms, plus hands-on expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS and AWS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership at Staff or Tech Lead level.
• Deep experience in distributed systems, API platform architecture, or financial infrastructure at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to drive large, complex technical initiatives across multiple teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for the embedded finance platform: scalability improvements, architectural modernisation, and tech debt resolution.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted engineering across Product Engineering teams, including AI-augmented development workflows and agentic automation of repetitive processes.
• Collaborate with Card Engineering Managers to align platform direction with product delivery needs and provide hands-on technical guidance on complex problems.
• Identify systemic engineering quality issues and build the case and plan to address them.
• Serve as a technical anchor for senior engineers: conducting design reviews, setting standards, mentoring.
