Job summary

DATEM INC. is seeking a Project Scheduler to support our construction projects in the Philippines. The role focuses on studying contracts, developing reliable forecasts, and maintaining master schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Excel.

You will monitor progress, prepare recovery plans, and present timely reports to management. The ideal candidate has a engineering background, 2 years of PM experience in construction, and strong skills in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• PRC license is a plus.
• 2 years' experience in Project Management, preferably in Construction.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Study the project's contract and scope of work, duties and responsibilities and relevant information in relation to project's planning and scheduling.
• Gather data and develop a reliable forecast construction schedule of the assigned project/s with support from the project team.
• Regularly conduct site rounds to check the activities onsite versus the project's master schedule.
• Oversee schedules and study the risk management plans of the project.
• Accountable in preparing and maintaining the Master Schedule in Primavera and Excel Format, Resource Loading Schedules (Manpower and Equipment), Procurement Schedule, Submittal Schedule, and S-curve to monitor the project's progress from beginning to end.
• Accountable in preparing the recovery schedule to avoid further slippage of the project.
• Study, prepare, verify, and reconcile project time extension claims.
• Recommends modifications to Project Manager to improve schedule effectiveness and attain project milestones.
• Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports for management.
• Ensure to convey required project data and information to all project team members and other relevant stakeholders on the timelines and deadlines.
• Attend and lead meetings and project conferences to discuss issues, concerns, and action plans to meet the project's goals and timelines.
• Provides guidance to Project Schedulers by means of informal training or on-the-job training.
• Collaborates with the Project Manager to monitor and meet the project's schedule.

Qualification and Skills Requirement

Educational Attainment:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, specialized course in Civil, Structural, and Construction, or Equivalent related field.
• PRC license is a plus.

Work Experience:

• 2 years' experience in Project Management preferably in Construction Industry.

Technical Competencies:

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft project, and Excel for creating, updating and maintaining schedules
• Knowledgeable in construction methodology and sequence knowledge
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Ability to present complex information to a variety of audience.
