Job summary

Alsons Power Group seeks a Senior Manager for Project Development (Solar & BESS) to lead end-to-end utility-scale solar and BESS initiatives from inception to Ready-to-Build. Based in the Philippines, this role anchors the Business Development and Project Execution function, coordinating cross-functional teams, optimizing viability, de-risking investments and guiding high-stakes negotiations.

As the Senior Manager for Project Development, Solar and BESS, you will serve as the strategic driver taking ambitious utility-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiatives from initial spark all the way to Ready-to-Build (RTB) status.

In this pivotal leadership role within the Business Development and Project Execution department, you will sit at the center of cross-functional excellence. You will orchestrate end-to-end development, optimize commercial viability, de-risk investments, and lead high-stakes negotiations across internal teams, government agencies, and industry partners. Reporting directly to the Deputy Business Development and Project Development Head, you will serve as a key strategy driver and executive presenter shaping the company’s clean energy portfolio.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFILE:

Education & Credentials

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineering License is preferred.

Experience & Expertise

• 10+ Years of Experience in power project development, renewable energy, EPC, or major infrastructure projects.
• Proven Track Record: Proven expertise in successfully developing utility-scale Solar and/or BESS projects from inception to Ready-to-Build (RTB) stage.
• Deep Regulatory & Local Market Knowledge: Strong background in Philippine energy regulations, grid interconnection protocols, permitting, land acquisition, and local stakeholder management.
