This role involves developing relationships with Electric Cooperatives, negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and conducting feasibility assessments for new projects. The ideal candidate is a Licensed Electrical Engineer with at least 4 years of experience in the energy sector. Qualifications

SmartVolt Energy, a rapidly growing player in the Philippine energy market and the exclusive local partner of Linyang Energy Group, is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Project Director to join our Business Development team. This role is pivotal in expanding our engagement with Electric Cooperatives and negotiating long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for embedded solar and energy storage projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with Electric Cooperatives across assigned regions
• Lead and support negotiations for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
• Conduct feasibility assessments for new projects including technical, regulatory, and permitting reviews
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders in crafting commercially viable energy proposals
• Track and analyze energy market regulations and DU operations for business opportunities
• Collaborate on integration planning for PV + BESS projects into DU and networks

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE) – Required
• At least 4 years’ experience in the energy sector (IPP, TNP, or DU)
• Working knowledge of Distribution Utility (DU) operations and maintenance
• Working knowledge of substations and distribution systems
• Familiarity with energy regulations and policy in the Philippines
• Hands‑on experience with Power Supply Agreements
• Proven ability to close renewable energy supply deals
• Experience in feasibility studies, permitting, and project management
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, energy storage, and electrical systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
