Job summary

Eigen Energy is seeking a Solutions Manager in the Philippines to lead end-to-end solar, storage and e-mobility projects. You will fuse electrical engineering rigor with commercial insight to design bankable PV, BESS and EV charging solutions, and manage client and vendor relationships.

You will coordinate with regulators, ensure permits, safety standards, and timely delivery, while mentoring internal teams to meet budget and quality guarantees.

Qualifications

• BSc Electrical Engineering preferred; REE required
• 5–10 years in renewable energy, power systems or C&I design
• Knowledge of Philippine permitting processes (DOE, ERC, NGCP, LGUs)
• Skilled with PVSyst, AutoCAD, SketchUp or HeliosScope

Responsibilities

• Assess client energy needs and design bankable Solar PV, BESS and EV charging solutions
• Lead technical presentations with C&I and utility-scale clients on system design, yield, payback and safety
• Prepare proposals, SOWs, preliminary designs, BOQs and timelines for tenders
• Manage client and vendor contracts to limit liabilities and secure favourable terms
• Optimise designs, CapEx/OpEx and procurement costs to keep offers competitive
• Secure all permits and approvals, including LGU, building and electrical permits; DOE registrations; ERC compliance; DU/NGCP interconnection, net metering and system impact studies; and DENR environmental certificates
• Review and approve detailed designs (SLDs, structural loads, cable sizing, protection) for compliance with the PEC, PDC and IEC/IEEE standards
• Manage execution teams, subcontractors and suppliers during construction
• Deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality standards
• Lead testing, grid synchronisation and performance ratio testing against contractual guarantees

Job description

The Solutions Manager bridges the full business lifecycle: business development, pre-sales engineering, project delivery, commissioning and operations. The ideal candidate combines strong electrical engineering expertise, knowledge of Philippine energy permitting and commercial acumen, with a self-driven, hands-on approach.

Key responsibilities

Assess client energy needs and sites, and design bankable, cost-effective Solar PV, BESS and EV charging solutions

Lead technical presentations with C&I and utility-scale clients on system design, yield, payback and safety

Prepare proposals, SOWs, preliminary designs, BOQs and timelines for tenders

Manage client and vendor contracts to limit liabilities and secure favourable terms

About you

BSc Electrical Engineering preferred; other engineering disciplines with a strong electrical background considered

Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) required; PEE licence a distinct advantage

5–10 years in renewable energy, power systems or C&I electrical design and construction, with a proven track record in solar PV, BESS or EV charging projects

Practical knowledge of Philippine permitting, with familiarity with DUs (e.g., MERALCO, VECO), NGCP, DOE, ERC and LGUs

Proficiency in PVSyst, AutoCAD, SketchUp or HeliosScope; understanding of grid codes, protection schemes, MV/LV switchgear, transformer sizing and battery safety standards (UL 9530, NFPA 855); strong project management skills (PMP a plus)

Lead internal teams and coordinate with clients, regulators and contractors

Excellent English and Filipino; able to turn technical concepts into clear commercial arguments

Resolve regulatory, site and technical challenges swiftly
