Job summary

Nightowl Consulting seeks an experienced electrical estimator to handle comprehensive project estimating. You will perform material, lighting, and power take-offs from drawings and specs, consolidating data into our estimating software for accurate bid submissions.

Responsibilities include preparing RFQs, evaluating vendor pricing, and determining subcontractor scopes with quotations. You will develop bids and change orders and assist in training junior estimators while maintaining strong GC

Qualifications

• Experience in all levels of electrical estimating.
• Ability to prepare detailed electrical estimates from limited information.
• Proficient in taking-off material, lighting, and power from drawings/specs.
• Capable of consolidating data from take-off sheets into estimating software.

• Perform all levels of estimating
• Accurately take-off all material, lighting, power based on specifications and drawings
• Responsible for the accurate consolidation of all data from the take-off sheets to estimating software program
• Must have the ability to prepare detailed electrical estimates based on limited conceptual design information
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor pricing
• Responsible for determining which phases or scopes of work for the project that will be performed by a subcontractor, securing and verifying quotes
• Develop bids and change orders supplying the estimated cost data to the Assistant Project Manager
• Assist in estimating training for junior estimators as necessary
• Develop and maintain relationships with General Contractors
