Job summary

Emerson in Mandaluyong is seeking a General Ledger professional to process GL transactions, assist with reporting, reconciliations, and audits. You will collaborate with internal and external customers to identify improvements and provide excellent financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in general accounting, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, cash receipts application, intercompany transactions, and credit collection.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations to protect assets and ensure accuracy.
• Validate cash transactions, resolve discrepancies and reconciling items.
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and vouch source details.
• Generate reports and analyze accounts to correct mis recordings before finalizing financials.
• Maintain audit trails and post journal entries for balance restatements.
• Handle Fixed Assets accounting: recognition, depreciation, retirement, transfer, write-off.
• Create/update process documentation and train staff on changes.
• Apply internal controls in line with CP&P and GAAP.

Job Description:

If you are a General Ledger professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to process general ledger transactions, including reporting and reconciliation, fixed asset transactions, and financial reviews, and will serve as a focal point of contact for audits. You will collaborate with internal and external customers and help identify operational improvements to provide excellent financial services.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Perform a bank reconciliation to protect the organizations assets.


• Validate the accuracy of cash transactions, verify discrepancies, and resolve reconciling transactions.


• Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and analyze transactions to validate accuracy through vouching for source details.


• Generate reports and perform analysis of accounts to resolve potential mis recording of transactions prior to finalization of financials.


• Maintain audit trail of supporting documents for audit requirements and post Journal entries to restate account balances.


• Perform Fixed Assets Accounting, asset recognition, depreciation, retirement, transfer, and write-off.


• Conduct training and prepare or update process documentation to capture improvements.


• Apply appropriate internal controls in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures (CP&P) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
