Job summary

CATL is seeking a senior role to monitor and analyze electricity markets across Southeast Asia, focusing on BESS deployment and renewable energy integration. The role involves screening opportunities, coordinating land, grid, and regulatory processes, and building a scalable pipeline with local partners and utilities.

You will work with internal teams and external consultants to advance projects from pre-RtB through RtB, M&A activities, and eventual COD, ensuring bankable, compliant developments

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in a relevant field; Master’s preferred for advancement.
• Experience across Southeast Asian markets is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver utility-scale renewable energy, power infrastructure, or BESS projects from early-stage development through Ready-to-Build (RtB).

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize BESS project opportunities in Southeast Asia and lead development from pre-RtB to RtB.
• Coordinate land, grid connection, permitting, enviro/social assessments, and regulatory approvals for multi-jurisdiction projects.
• Manage relationships with local developers, utilities, regulators, landowners, EPCs, investors, and partners.
• Lead market-entry strategies, financial modeling inputs, and due diligence for potential acquisitions or joint development.
• Oversee project budgets, milestones, and risk registers; coordinate internal teams and external consultants.
