Job summary

Airswift is seeking a senior Energy Transition Partnerships Lead for ASEAN to drive market development and partnerships across Southeast Asia. You will turn stakeholder needs into modelling use cases, manage proposals and pilots, and lead regional engagements with governments, utilities, DFIs and investors.

The role requires building a strong local network, experience across energy sectors, and the ability to travel regularly across the region to enable adoption of climate tech solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in market development, partnerships, or related roles in energy or tech.
• Experience in Southeast Asian markets and understanding of regional energy institutions.
• Proven track record building new markets or strategic accounts over multi-stakeholder cycles.
• Experience implementing software, data, modelling or advisory solutions from scoping to adoption.
• Working understanding of power system or electricity market modelling.
• Ability to translate technical outputs into clear value narratives for senior audiences.
• Strong written English for proposals, briefs and executive summaries.
• Disciplined pipeline management with CRM experience.

Our client is a mission-driven climate tech organisation. It builds open-access energy system modelling software and data that governments, utilities and financiers use to plan the clean energy transition.

They are looking for a senior market development professional with Southeast Asian energy sector experience to build their ASEAN presence, turning senior stakeholder relationships into funded pilots and long-term adoption.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Shape and execute the ASEAN market strategy with regional leadership
• Engage senior government, utility, DFI and investor stakeholders to understand their planning and investment challenges
• Translate those challenges into modelling and software use cases, then take them through proposals, funding and pilot delivery to adoption
• Lead workshops, roundtables and executive meetings, and build a local partner network

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 6+ years in market development, strategic partnerships, solution consulting, product commercialisation or complex solution implementation, ideally in energy, power, infrastructure, analytics or technology
• Substantial experience in one or more Southeast Asian markets, with practical knowledge of the region's energy institutions, stakeholders and funding dynamics
• A track record of building new markets or strategic accounts through long, multi-stakeholder decision cycles
• Experience implementing complex software, data, modelling or advisory solutions, from scoping through to user adoption
• A working understanding of power system or electricity market modelling (inputs, assumptions, scenarios, outputs, limitations)
• Ability to turn technical outputs into clear value narratives for senior, non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical judgement: able to turn market, policy and competitor evidence into clear recommendations
• Excellent written and spoken English, including proposals, concept notes and executive briefs
• Disciplined pipeline and account management, including CRM use
• Willingness to travel regularly across Southeast Asia and work flexibly across time zones
