Tier 10 Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Field Engineer to lead on-site installation and commissioning for commercial, industrial, and data center projects.
You will perform site surveys, design, and field support, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, and local codes while maintaining project schedules.
Strong hands-on background in VRV/VRF systems, chilled water, and ducting is preferred, with willingness to work on-site in dynamic environments.
Conduct site surveys and assess existing HVAC systems, available spaces, utilities, and installation constraints
Develop and design HVAC solutions for commercial, industrial, and data center applications.
Support pre-sales technical assessments — site surveys, feasibility checks, and basic system sizing/proposals when needed
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical information, pricing, equipment selections, and project-specific solutions.
Continuously evaluate new HVAC technologies and develop solutions that improve system reliability, energy efficiency, maintainability, and cost.
Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, Philippine Mechanical Code, local regulations, and project requirements.
Attend client and consultant meetings and provide technical presentations, clarifications, and responses to RFIs and design comments.
Provide technical support during bidding, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
Prepare technical documentation: installation design, equipment functionality, and as-built drawings
Liaise with clients and project managers to explain technical requirements, resolve site issues, and ensure project timelines are met
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
2–5 years of hands‑on experience in HVAC/AC installation, specifically:
- PACU / CRAC / precision cooling units- Split type, DX, and VRV/VRF systems- Chilled water systems and pump installation- Ducting and plumbing works
Proven field experience — not purely design/office-based — with actual installation and commissioning of air conditioning systems
Ability to read and interpret mechanical/HVAC drawings and P&IDs
Basic understanding of electrical systems as they relate to HVAC (control wiring, power connections) — full electrical certification not required, but working knowledge expected
Willingness to work on‑site, including data center environments with strict access/safety protocols
Good troubleshooting skills for mechanical and cooling system faults
Prior experience specifically in data center cooling projects (highly valued, even if limited)
Familiarity with data center infrastructure standards (uptime/redundancy concepts, N+1 cooling design, etc.)
Experience coordinating with electrical and BMS (Building Management System) teams
Knowledge of chilled water plant components (chillers, cooling towers, pumps, valves)
Certifications related to HVAC (e.g., manufacturer certifications for VRV/VRF systems, refrigeration license, etc.)
Strong field/site coordination skills — comfortable managing installation crews and timelines
Clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Problem‑solving mindset for on‑site technical issues
Attention to detail for compliance with specs and safety standards
Ability to work under data center project constraints (limited downtime windows, security clearance, etc.)
