Job summary

ib vogt GmbH is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to lead on-site civil works for solar power projects. You will oversee foundation, structures, land development, ensure designs meet specs, safety rules, and schedules while coordinating with project teams and subcontractors.

You will monitor progress, manage resources, and help prepare schedules, risk assessments, and reports. Fluent English and local language skills are valued; willingness to travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in civil engineering roles within the power utilities, renewable energy particularly in ground mounted solar power plant, or large scale construction industry.
• Proficiency in construction methodologies and techniques.
• Familiar with industry-relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
• Strong understanding of civil engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Familiar with MS Project or any project planning software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site civil construction activities, including foundation work, structures, and land development.
• Ensure construction processes comply with technical drawings, design specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections to maintain quality control across all civil engineering works.
• Identify, report, and resolve any non-conformities or defects in construction.
• Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and other site professionals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor and report progress, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing work schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk assessments.
• Enforce site‑specific safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory safety requirements.
• Prepare reports for management, summarizing progress, and any challenges encountered.
• Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, material usage, and equipment logs.
