Job summary

ib vogt GmbH is recruiting a Site Electrical Engineer to manage all electrical engineering aspects of PV projects, including LV, MV, and HV installation, testing, and commissioning. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of expertise in the power utilities, renewable energy, or large-scale construction industry.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer.
• Proficiency in construction methodologies and techniques.
• Familiarity with industry-relevant software.
• Knowledgeable in solar PV construction works including related testing & commissioning methodology and requirements for each equipment.
• Knowledgeable in MV and HV substation construction works including related testing & commissioning methodology and requirements for each equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience in ground mounted solar power plant rolling terrain is an added advantage.
• Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) and Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) certifications an added advantage.
• English and Ilonggo (local dialect)

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical construction and installation activities, including testing & commissioning of electrical systems.
• Ensure construction processes comply with drawings, design specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections to maintain quality control across electrical works.
• Identify, report, and resolve any non-conformities or defects in construction.
• Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and other site professionals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor and report progress, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing work schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk assessments.
• Enforce site-specific safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory safety requirements.
• Prepare reports for management, summarizing progress and challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, material usage, and equipment logs.
