Job summary

Motolite seeks a Project Engineer to provide technical coordination and execution support for internal energy projects, including Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System initiatives. You will ensure requirements, deliverables, and schedules are met while coordinating design, procurement, construction, and operations.

This role involves site visits, technical assessments, documentation, and turnover activities, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field relevant to energy projects.
• 2–5 years in project engineering, coordination, or related tech environments.
• Willingness to travel and participate in field activities.
• Engineering license is an advantage and certifications in PM/RE are a plus.
• Experience with Solar PV, BESS, EPC or utility projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of internal Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Coordinate engineering and implementation activities to meet requirements.
• Facilitate communication among design, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.
• Conduct site visits, technical assessments, and field evaluations.
• Verify technical specs, site conditions, and installation readiness.
• Monitor milestones, schedules, and engineering deliverables.

About the role

Provides project engineering, technical coordination, and implementation support for internal energy projects, renewable energy initiatives, and strategic Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) programs. Ensures project requirements, engineering activities, technical deliverables, and implementation activities are effectively coordinated to support safe, timely, and successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of internal Solar PV, BESS, and related energy projects
• Coordinate engineering, technical, and implementation activities to ensure project requirements are achieved
• Facilitate communication between design, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations stakeholders
• Conduct site visits, technical assessments, and field evaluations supporting project implementation activities
• Verify project requirements, technical specifications, site conditions, and installation readiness
• Monitor project activities, milestones, schedules, and engineering deliverables
• Track implementation progress and identify risks, delays, and project concerns requiring escalation
• Maintain project documentation, technical records, engineering files, and implementation reports
• Support project mobilization, installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities
• Identify opportunities to improve project execution, engineering coordination, and implementation processes

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• At least 2-5 years of experience in project engineering, engineering coordination, renewable energy projects, construction projects, utility projects, or related technical environments
• Project Coordination, Technical Problem Solving, Planning and Organizing, Communication Skills, Stakeholder Management, Analytical Thinking, Attention to Detail, Adaptability, Results Orientation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, AutoCAD, Project Tracking Tools, Engineering Documentation Systems, ERP Systems, Technical Reporting Tools
• Willingness to travel and participate in field-based project activities is required
• Professional Engineering License is an advantage
• Certifications related to Project Management, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or Engineering Operations are advantageous
• Experience supporting Solar PV projects, BESS projects, renewable energy initiatives, EPC environments, utility projects, or engineering operations is preferred
