KHDGG Development Corporation is seeking an engineer to evaluate, design, and optimize ground and rooftop PV systems and battery energy storage solutions. You will produce detailed drawings, review schemes for bidding, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with local codes and standards.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years of related experience, and strong knowledge of electrical systems.
Responsible for Evaluating, Designing, and Optimizing the Ground and Rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems for potential solar PV project site locations using Google Earth and PVSyst, Helioscope, or equivalent software;
Responsible for Evaluating, Designing, and Optimizing battery energy storage systems using standardized processes and tools like MATLAB Simulink, Homer, or equivalent software
Responsible to produce conceptual and details Solar and BESS system design drawings, including Single- and three-line diagram, general layouts, equipment arrangements, and system architecture in accordance with local codes and standards.
Cooperated with other major’s engineers in the bidding projects, check and review the bidding electrical technical scheme and make bidding documents.
Responsible for maintaining good public relations with relevant parties of engineering business (owners, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, etc.);
Responsible to review equipment/technologies across various technical disciplines;
Responsible to develop designs using advanced computer software (PVsyst, Sunny Design, Helioscope, ETAP, MATLAB, Homer, AutoCAD, and other related software) in finalizing specifications.
PV simulation analysis capability with related software.
Site inspection and report, pre/post bidding meeting.
Develop specifications for Solar and battery energy storage equipment.
Perform all related calculations to demonstrate system sizing and performance capabilities.
Review request for proposal documents and project technical specifications.
Provide priorities of work, feedback on initiatives, and establish new focus areas to drive continuous improvement, supporting leadership and engineering teams.
Stay updated on industry standards and regulations for Solar and BESS design.
Perform tasks and activities that may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Systems)
or equivalent, preferably with a specialization in power systems, renewable
energy and/or sustainable energy technology.
Familiarity with industry-standard software tools for solar and BESS design is
an advantage.
At least 3 years working experience in related function or professional field.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and power distribution principles.
Familiarity with local building codes, electrical standards, and safety
regulations in the Philippines.
Proficiency in English listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Computer proficiency in Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), PVSyst,
Helioscope, ETAP, MATLAB Simulink, Homer, AutoCAD and other related
design software.
Proficient in designing Solar and Battery System
Ability to perform precise engineering calculations and problem-solving.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize
system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work within tight
deadlines.
Strong sense of responsibility, ambition, ability to solve problems
independently and strong ability to work under pressure.
