Job summary
MSpectrum Inc. is seeking a Solar Installer / Electrician in Metro Manila to perform installation, wiring, testing, and field activities for solar PV systems.
You will work under the Foreman or Project Engineer, install mounting structures, PV modules, inverters, and electrical panels, and ensure safety and quality on site. Candidates should have technical/vocational electrical training, TESDA NC II preferred, and be willing to travel to multiple project sites.
Qualifications

- High school graduates with relevant electrical or solar installation experience may be considered.

Position: Solar Installer / Electrician
Office: Project Management / Project Delivery & Engineering
Reports to: Foreman / Project Engineer
The Solar Installer / Electrician is responsible for performing the installation, assembly, wiring, testing, and other field activities required for the construction and completion of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
The role performs hands-on mechanical and electrical installation work in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, manufacturer requirements, quality standards, and MSpectrum's occupational safety and health requirements.
The position works under the supervision of the Foreman, Project Engineer, or other designated project personnel and may be assigned to different solar project sites depending on operational requirements.
Perform installation and assembly of solar PV system components based on approved plans and instructions.
Install mounting structures, rails, brackets, supports, and other structural components required for PV module installation.
Install, align, secure, and properly handle solar PV modules.
Perform cable routing, dressing, securing, tagging, and general cable management.
Assist in the installation of inverters, electrical panels, disconnect switches, combiner boxes, monitoring devices, and other solar-related equipment.
Perform grounding and bonding installation according to approved designs and applicable standards.
Assist in the installation of conduits, cable trays, raceways, supports, and other electrical components.
Ensure materials and equipment are handled properly to avoid damage during transportation, installation, and site activities.
Perform electrical wiring, termination, connection, and installation activities within the employee's authorized level of competency.
Install AC and DC cables, conduits, electrical supports, grounding systems, and associated components.
Perform proper cable stripping, crimping, termination, and connection using appropriate tools and procedures.
Assist in electrical testing, continuity checking, insulation resistance testing, polarity checking, voltage measurements, and other commissioning activities as instructed.
Follow approved electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, installation details, and technical specifications.
Immediately report damaged equipment, incorrect materials, installation discrepancies, or unsafe electrical conditions to the Foreman or Project Engineer.
Ensure all electrical works are properly secured, labeled, protected, and installed according to project requirements.
Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, electrical tools, testing instruments, ladders, safety equipment, and other assigned equipment.
Inspect tools and equipment before use and immediately report damaged or unsafe equipment.
Minimize material wastage and ensure proper utilization of cables, connectors, conduits, fasteners, and other project materials.
Assist in receiving, transferring, organizing, and securing materials at the project site.
Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of tools, materials, and equipment.
Ensure all assigned work is completed according to approved installation standards and project requirements.
Maintain proper alignment, spacing, fastening, cable routing, termination, and general workmanship.
Correct identified installation deficiencies or punch-list items as instructed by the Foreman or Project Engineer.
Assist during project inspections, testing, commissioning, rectification, and turnover activities.
Protect installed equipment from damage during ongoing construction activities.
Strictly comply with MSpectrum's occupational safety and health requirements and site-specific safety rules.
Wear and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Participate in toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and other required safety activities.
Follow proper procedures for working at heights, electrical work, lifting, equipment handling, and other potentially hazardous activities.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses, defective tools, and safety hazards.
Do not perform electrical or other specialized work beyond the employee's competency, authorization, or required certification.
Maintain good housekeeping and ensure assigned work areas are free from unnecessary hazards.
Follow daily work assignments and instructions issued by the Foreman, Project Engineer, or designated supervisor.
Complete assigned work within established schedules while maintaining required safety and quality standards.
Coordinate and work effectively with other installers, electricians, helpers, engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Observe proper conduct, discipline, attendance, and site rules.
Participate in training and skills-development activities required by MSpectrum.
Perform other related solar installation, electrical, construction, maintenance, or project activities that may reasonably be assigned.

Graduate of a technical or vocational course related to Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Industrial Electricity, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
High school graduates with relevant electrical or solar installation experience may also be considered.
TESDA National Certificate in Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM NC II or higher) is preferred.
Registered Master Electrician (RME) license is an advantage.
Relevant certifications related to solar PV installation, electrical work, working at heights, or occupational safety are advantages.
At least 1 year of relevant electrical, solar PV, construction, or installation experience is preferred.
Applicants with strong technical training but limited professional experience may be considered for junior installer positions.
Previous rooftop or commercial/industrial solar PV installation experience is an advantage.
Willing to work at and travel to different project sites.
Willing and physically capable of performing field installation work, including working outdoors and at heights, subject to applicable medical and safety requirements.
Able to lift, carry, position, and install materials and equipment normally encountered in solar PV installation work.
Able to follow technical instructions, drawings, safety procedures, and established work standards.
Demonstrates discipline, teamwork, reliability, attention to detail, and a strong safety mindset.
