Job summary

Bureau Veritas do Brasil is seeking a Lineman to install, operate, and maintain overhead and underground distribution lines within a solar farm. You will ensure safe, reliable electrical connections between solar arrays, substations, and grid interconnection points while meeting strict safety standards in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certificate in Electrical Technology or related field.
• Proven experience as a Lineman in electrical distribution, transmission, or renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of NEC, local electrical codes, and utility standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and line maps.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime, shifting schedules, and remote project locations.
• Valid certifications (if applicable): Lineman Training Certificate, Working at Heights Certification, Electrical Safety Training, Basic Rigging and Lifting.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground distribution lines within the solar farm.
• Perform stringing, tensioning, splicing, terminating, and other line construction activities.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and other electrical equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify faults, damages, or potential issues.
• Maintain compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Operate linework equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, and hot sticks.
• Support testing and commissioning activities as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers, electricians, and construction teams to ensure timely project progress.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental policies, including proper PPE use.
