Job summary

Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore is seeking a Lineman for a Solar Farm Project in Makati, Manila, PH. The role covers installation, operation, and maintenance of distribution lines to ensure reliable connections between solar arrays, substations, and the grid.

The candidate should hold a vocational/technical certificate in Electrical Technology or Power Line Installation and have proven Lineman experience, with knowledge of NEC and local codes. Over time and remote-site work are expected.

Qualifications

Must have certificate in Electrical Technology/Power Line Installation or related field.
Proven Lineman experience in electrical distribution, transmission, or renewables.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and line maps.
Physically fit for heights, confined spaces, and various weather.
Willingness to work overtime, shifts, and remote project locations.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground distribution lines within the solar farm.
Perform stringing, tensioning, splicing, terminating, and other line construction activities.
Assist in installation and maintenance of transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and other equipment.
Conduct inspections to identify faults, damages, or potential issues.
Maintain compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specs.
Operate linework equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, and hot sticks.
Support testing and commissioning activities as needed.
Coordinate with engineers, electricians, and construction teams for timely progress.
