Solar Technical Engineer Makati
Onsolar is expanding its Makati technical team and is hiring a senior, hands‑on Solar Technical Engineer who can both execute and lead solar projects from planning to commissioning.
POSITION DETAILS
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: PHP 40,000 per month
Work Schedule: 6 working days per week
Tools & Equipment: Provided by Onsolar
Travel: Occasional provincial installations (paid travel)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and execute solar PV installations ranging from 5 kW to 100 kW+
- Conduct site surveys, system validation, and installation planning
- Prepare or review basic system layouts, single‑line diagrams, and as‑built drawings
- Supervise installers, electricians, and subcontractors on‑site
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and Onsolar quality controls
- Coordinate with operations, sales, and clients during project execution
- Lead commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and after‑sales technical support
- Prepare progress reports and ensure proper documentation and handover
- Act as lead technical resource with potential supervisory responsibilities
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience installing and managing solar projects from 5 kW to 100 kW+
- Strong working knowledge of on‑grid, hybrid, and off‑grid solar systems
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software (layouts, SLDs, as‑builts)
- Ability to manage teams and multiple active sites
- Resides in or near Makati
- Has own transportation (motorcycle or car)
- Willing to work on‑site and in the field
PREFERRED / ADVANTAGE
- Licensed Electrical Engineer (preferred, not required)
- COSH (Construction Occupational Safety and Health) Certificate
- Experience with commercial or light industrial solar installations
- Familiarity with safety documentation, permits, and client coordination
