Job summary

Shearwater Health is seeking a Software Quality Analyst to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products across the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, UX Designers, and DevOps to design testing strategies, identify defects, and drive automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance within a product development environment.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience testing web, mobile, and/or SaaS applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements to create effective test scenarios.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate new product features and enhancements against business requirements.
• Ensure product quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Verify defect fixes and conduct regression testing before release.
• Analyze root causes of recurring defects and recommend preventive actions.
• Validate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Perform backend testing using SQL queries and API testing tools.
• Ensure seamless integration between applications and third‑party systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry‑standard frameworks.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve automation coverage to reduce manual testing effort
