Job summary

Insight Global in the Philippines is seeking a Quality Engineering Analyst to drive automation-focused testing across multiple applications and platforms. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright, execute API and functional tests, and validate data with SQL.

Collaborate with developers, product teams, and fellow QA engineers to improve test strategy and defect resolution.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of quality engineering / software testing experience.
• Foundation in manual testing with automation experience.
• Hands-on Playwright automation experience for web apps.
• Programming/scripting skills to modify and extend automation.
• API automation testing experience (REST APIs).
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Git for source control and collaboration.
• Familiarity with AI tools (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and related tech.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Must-haves:

• 3–7 years of quality engineering / software testing experience with a foundation in manual testing and strong hands-on experience in automation testing, including building, enhancing, and maintaining automation frameworks
• Experience with Playwright for web application automation testing
• Strong programming/scripting skills with the ability to understand, modify, and interact with existing automation frameworks
• Experience with API automation testing (REST APIs, validation, test execution)
• Strong SQL skills for data validation, testing, and troubleshooting
• Experience using Git for source control and collaboration
• Experience with AI tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar technologies
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Self-driven, proactive individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Day-to-Day:

The Quality Engineering Analyst will support a large-scale digital transformation initiative by driving automation-focused testing efforts across multiple applications and platforms. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Playwright, executing API and functional test cases, validating data through SQL queries, and identifying defects throughout the software development lifecycle. The analyst will collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and fellow quality engineers to ensure high-quality releases while contributing to test strategy, defect resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Although the role is heavily focused on automation, there will be occasional manual testing responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, understands modern testing frameworks, and has an interest in emerging AI technologies and their impact on quality engineering.
