Job summary

Concentrix is hiring a Software Engineer II to join our Information Technology and Global Security team in the Philippines. You will design, implement and maintain software solutions, develop batch jobs, analyze requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to select the right technologies for each project.

You will participate in all phases of the SDLC, mentor teammates, ensure code quality and security, and leverage AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate delivery while upholding

Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop and support application, procedures and functions
• Create and monitor batch jobs utilizing a job scheduler
• Analyze, troubleshoot and provide solutions
• Interface with stakeholders to obtain a full understanding of the project requirements in order to recommend the appropriate technology to accomplish requirements
• Provide project timeline estimates
• Monitor actual deliverable deadlines against scheduled completion dates
• Participate in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle
• Support both client and department programming standards
• Perform unit testing of all applications developed and/or enhancements to systems
• Work with Quality Assurance team to ensure quality of work produced
• Mentor other team members
• Monitor application efficiencies to identify means of enhancing performance
• Ability to be self-directed, able to focus on personal assignments while remaining part of a larger team with proven ability to multi-task.
• Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided
• Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings with direct manager and/or direct reports.
  
  

Qualifications

• SQL Server experience
• Possess ability to develop complex database queries using SQL
• Working knowledge of source code management tool and job scheduler
• Strong business analysis skills with proven experience in proposing and developing solutions
• Strong systems analysis experience
• Comfortable with maintenance of existing code base as well as new development
• Well organized with proven success in managing assignments (supporting end users) to timely completion
• Strong business Acumen
• AI-native engineer: Demonstrated expert-level, daily use of AI assistants (e.g., Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or equivalent) to accelerate delivery across the SDLC (design, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and operations).
• Own the outcome: Uses AI to increase speed and quality, but remains fully accountable for correctness, security, maintainability, and production readiness.
• Validation discipline: Can verify AI outputs (tests, code review rigor, threat/security checks, performance considerations) and explain why a solution is correct—not just that the tool suggested it.
• Practical workflows: Experienced applying AI to real engineering work such as: refactoring, test generation, CI/CD automation, log/trace analysis, incident triage, runbooks, and writing clear technical docs/ADRs.
• Secure and responsible use: Understands safe AI usage (no sensitive data leakage, compliant handling of customer/company information, proper IP awareness, follows enterprise guardrails).
• Force multiplier mindset: Proactively shares patterns and best practices; senior engineers are expected to coach/mentor others on effective AI-assisted engineering.
