As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software solutions while driving engineering excellence across the team. You will provide technical leadership in architecture, development standards, code quality, security, and scalability. Working closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams, you will lead the delivery of high-quality software solutions, mentor engineers, and contribute to the organization's long-term technology strategy. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on development expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications in accordance with established functional, technical, and quality standards.
• Lead the architecture and technical design of software solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, maintainability, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Drive technical decision-making, balancing business objectives with engineering best practices and long-term sustainability.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code using established design principles, patterns, and coding standards.
• Support, enhance, and modernize existing applications while proactively reducing technical debt.
• Champion software quality through code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration, and adherence to development standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
• Analyze and optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and overall system health.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Promote secure software development practices and ensure compliance with organizational and industry security standards, including OWASP recommendations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, code reviews, and professional development support.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement activities.
• Provide technical estimates, risk assessments, and recommendations to support project planning and delivery.
• Evaluate, recommend, and adopt emerging technologies, tools, and best practices that improve development efficiency, system reliability, and product quality.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence across the development team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, including the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade web applications.
• Strong full-stack development experience with modern front-end frameworks, specifically Angular
• Strong proficiency in back-end development using Java (Spring Boot) with experience building scalable, maintainable, and secure applications.
• Hands-on experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with CSS frameworks and component libraries such as Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, Material UI, or Angular Material.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, indexing, performance tuning, and data modeling.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of API design and development, including RESTful services, authentication and authorization mechanisms, API versioning, and integration of best practices.
• Experience using API development and testing tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and similar platforms.
• Experience working with source control systems and development workflows using Git.
• Experience with application lifecycle management, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and supporting applications in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience contributing to architecture decisions and designing scalable, high-performance, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
• Experience implementing automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills, with a proven ability to resolve complex production issues.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices, including OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum teams and participating in sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and make sound engineering decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers, conduct technical reviews, share knowledge, and promote engineering best practices.
• Strong commitment to continuous learning, innovation, quality, accountability, and delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar technologies is an advantage.
• Microsoft Azure certifications or equivalent cloud certifications are a plus.
