Job summary

Schneider Electric in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines, is seeking an experienced production operative to oversee all aspects of assembly and testing of PC boards and final assemblies. You will troubleshoot minor issues, follow standard work instructions, and maintain high quality and safety standards on the line, while coordinating with supervision.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience in product assembly/production operations in electronics/semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of SPC and QC tools; able to troubleshoot minor issues.
• Able to quickly grasp and follow instructions.
• Able to operate electronic assembly equipment.
• Able to manage personnel; strong communication; able to work under pressure; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, testing and alteration of PC boards and final assemblies per work instructions.
• Troubleshoot machines, test, repair, and calibrate PCBs and assemblies.
• Operate production equipment and hand tools as assigned.
• Conduct First Article Inspection on first 5 units to ensure quality.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping; report line issues to Production Supervisor.
• Provide feedback on abnormalities, non-compliance, shortages and losses.
• Ensure work instructions are posted and followed.

About the role

Responsible for all aspects of production. Checks and verifies special position and qualifies each process to meet specifications standards set by the company.

Key responsibilities

• May perform minor troubleshooting of machine/s and/or conduct testing, repairs, calibration of printed circuit boards and/or final assemblies
• Perform tasks required in the assembly, testing and/or alteration of Production Circuit (PC) boards and/or final assemblies in compliance with the standard approved work instructions
• Operates production equipment and/or hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers or crimpers as assigned
• Performs First Article Inspection on his/her station and on the first 5 units produced to ensure machines and products produced meets the required quality standards
• Ensures work instructions are posted and followed in assigned work station
• Cleans and protects the produced units from any damage
• Practices strict quality control in product assemblies
• Operates and produces parts based on requirement set by the planning section
• Gives immediate feedback to the Production Supervisor regarding line abnormalities including quality issues, process non-compliance, absence of appropriate work instructions, machine/tool breakdown, parts shortages and material losses
• Maintains safety and good housekeeping in respective work stations

About you

• Vocational Course Graduate, College Level or High School Graduate with equivalent experience
• Experience in product assembly/production operation gained in an electronics/semiconductor manufacturing company
• Knowledge in SPC, QC tools and minor troubleshooting
• Can easily grasp and follow instructions
