Job summary

MicroSourcing in Metro Manila (Parañaque) is seeking an SMP Estimator to lead tender preparation and cost estimation for construction projects. This hybrid role focuses on delivering detailed estimates, reviewing documents, and coordinating with subcontractors while managing risks.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Demonstrated experience as an SMP Estimator or similar role.
• Ability to prepare tender submissions, cost estimates, and basic schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret contractual documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Experience handling RFIs and clarifications with clients/subcontractors.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team oriented.
• High level of confidentiality and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of estimates and submission of tenders.
• Ensure estimates include labour, materials, timing, and cost structures with detail.
• Review construction/design documents and analyze specifications for costs.
• Identify project risks and communicate to management.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers; compare with self-performed estimates.
• Suggest cost-reduction options for competitive bids.
• Forecast and report tender costs.
• Manage contract risks to meet obligations.
• Provide guidance to estimating team and share best practices.
• Ensure health, safety, environment, and quality requirements are met.
• Support operational needs and process improvements.
