Job summary

Newport World Resorts in the Philippines is seeking a Slots Assistant to deliver first‑class service on the slot floor. You will help guests with game play, cash-outs, and participation in promotions while keeping the area clean and safe.

You will assist with events, monitor machines, report issues to technicians, and ensure compliance with AMLA and internal controls. The role requires flexibility with shifts, including holidays and weekends, and a readiness to work in a smoking environment.

Qualifications

• At least high school graduate.
• Customer service experience is an advantage.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, holidays and/or weekends.
• Amenable to work in smoking environment.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-time players with guidance on slot machine use, including game mechanics, bet options, and loyalty program benefits.
• Assist guests with cash-outs and special service requests (e.g., for VIPs, seniors, and PWDs).
• Resolve minor guest concerns or unresolved issues to supervisors promptly.
• Accurately process leftover credits and complete manual payment requests within the approved matrix.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of assigned areas to ensure machines are functioning, chairs are orderly, and the environment is clean and safe.
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues and resolve more complex problems to technical staff or supervisors.
• Support and monitor the stacker collection process to ensure proper handling of machines and equipment.
• Promptly report any lost and found items to supervisors for documentation and turnover to Security.
• Assist with the execution of slot promotions, including event participation, card swiping for rewards/raffles, and guest recruitment for tournaments or new machine launches.
• Effectively communicate current and upcoming promotions to guests.
• Attend compliance training sessions (e.g., AMLA, responsible gaming) and adhere to internal controls, audit protocols, and company SOPs.
• Use the Casino System FreeStyle Gaming (FSG) mobile phone system to receive and respond to service alerts in real time.
• Follow zoning and anti-grouping policies to ensure full floor coverage.
• Comply with break schedules and adhere to tip distribution policies to maintain fairness and operational flow.
• Carry out other related duties as necessary per team (Logistics, GFXart and Allied, Admin, Tip Committee).
• Logistics: Inventory of slot assets, chair/ticket transport, storage support.
• GFX Art: Monitoring and updating endbank displays and media signage.
• Allied: Assisting with tournament/event logistics and vendor giveaways.
• Admin: Monitoring staff schedules, supplies, and documentation.
• Tip Committee: Supporting fair and transparent tip collection/distribution processes.
• Participate in departmental training sessions, product knowledge exams, and refreshers to maintain service excellence.
• Proactively report recurring issues, unclear procedures, or knowledge gaps to management for training improvements.
