Job summary

Kajima Philippines Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support bids and project estimates in the M&E domain in Calabarzon. You will review subcontractor proposals, develop construction methodologies, and ensure compliance with bid documents and standards.

Your role includes preparing quantity take-offs, updating estimates, and maintaining knowledge of applicable codes, safety rules, and QA/QC standards. Collaboration with engineering teams and suppliers is essential for successful proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Possesses a valid professional license issued by the PRC.
• Minimum 3 years’ pro-active field experience in construction M&E trades.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, safety rules, QA/QC, and local codes.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Interface with co-engineers and secure documents for proposals.
• Review, analyze & evaluate sub-contractor proposals.

Job description

• Interface with co-engineers; secure all the necessary documents, plans and specifications required to assessments of a comprehensive proposal.
• Review, analyze & evaluate proposals submitted by sub-contractors.
• Determine / develop construction methodology & standards as they are defined by the bid documents and create construction standards for M&E estimating system.
• Solicits quotation from material & equipment suppliers, review their proposals for accuracy of pricing and compliance to the specifications, plans & requirements of the Client.
• Perform quantity take-off of materials, labor & equipment and prepare estimates in compliance with the bid documents.
• Maintain current knowledge of Philippine & International codes and standards.
• Produce a parameter report based on completed drafts, recap and final bid packages.
• Provide timely re-estimates of re-designed or value engineered projects or bids.
• Implement and overseer compliance of related processes based on the organization’s KTMS.PH Integrated Management System
• Execute all the necessary changes of related processes relevant to KTMS.PH Integrated Management System
