Job summary

Kajima Philippines Incorporated is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to coordinate daily site activities with engineers, subcontractors, and the site team, ensuring proper interpretation of drawings for on-site implementation.

Responsibilities include monitoring schedules, quality and safety, reviewing shop drawings, and supervising workers to meet project requirements and ISO standards while adhering to the Integrated Management System.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• PRC-licensed Mechanical Engineer (RME)
• 3+ years of proactive experience as Mechanical Engineer in construction
• Familiarity with ISO standards documentation
• Proficient in MS Office and MS Project
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site activities with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and the site team.
• Resolve coordination issues between mechanical, electrical, and civil works.
• Prepare daily site reports and provide weekly updates to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company management system requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for site implementation.
• Prepare material take-offs and material requisitions.
• Monitor project schedules, quality, costs, and progress to ensure timely completion.
• Review shop drawings and as-built drawings for accuracy.
• Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers to ensure work meets project requirements.
• Coordinate with clients and other contractors to maintain smooth project execution.
• Ensure subcontractors understand project schedules, quality standards, and work requirements.
• Implement and maintain compliance with the company's Integrated Management System (KTMS.PH IMS).
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Top Management.

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

2. Must have valid professional license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (RME)

3. At least 3 years' pro-active experience as Mechanical Engineer in a construction setting - exposure under GenCon management is a plus!

4. Familiarity on ISO Standards documentation related to function is also an advantage

5. Proficient in computer usage & operation such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), MS Project software

6. Good communication skills both verbal & written
