We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with more than 10 years of proven experience in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing project estimates, overseeing the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems, conducting site inspections, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company and client requirements.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering, project estimation, preventive and corrective maintenance, cost control, and construction site management. Experience working with Japanese contractors or construction companies is an advantage.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, material take-offs, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for mechanical works.
Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Assist in preparing project budgets, cost analysis, and bid proposals.
Monitor project costs and recommend value engineering opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
Plan, supervise, and monitor the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, piping, pumps, ventilation, and utility systems.
Review engineering drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients throughout project implementation.
Conduct inspections to verify that mechanical installations conform to approved plans, quality standards, and applicable Philippine codes.
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for construction equipment and mechanical systems.
Diagnose equipment issues and recommend repair or replacement strategies to minimize downtime.
Ensure all mechanical equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently throughout project execution.
Coordinate maintenance schedules with project teams to avoid work interruptions.
Conduct regular visits to construction sites to monitor project progress and verify compliance with engineering standards.
Provide technical support and immediate solutions to engineering issues encountered on-site.
Supervise contractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure quality workmanship.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
Prepare site inspection reports, progress reports, and technical documentation for management and clients.
Monitor project schedules and ensure mechanical works are completed according to approved timelines.
Attend project coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams.
Assist in project planning, testing, commissioning, and final project turnover.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance when necessary.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PRC).
With 10 - 12 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
Experience in project estimation, cost analysis, and mechanical maintenance is required.
Experience working with Japanese construction companies or multinational contractors is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, piping, pumps, compressors, and utility systems.
Familiarity with the National Building Code of the Philippines, Mechanical Code, Fire Code, and Occupational Safety and Health Standards.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Microsoft Office, and project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Willing to conduct site inspections at various project locations.
