Job summary

First Balfour, Inc. is seeking an experienced General/Cost Accountant to join its finance team in Taytay, Rizal, Philippines. The role requires solid knowledge of general and cost accounting and a track record of accurate financial reporting.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance and at least five years of relevant experience; SAP knowledge is an advantage. Responsibilities include reviewing petty cash, budgeting, project budgets, journals, and cash flow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/Finance is required.
• At least 5 years experience in General / Cost Accounting, preferably in construction / equipment rental.
• Knowledge in using SAP software is an advantage.
• Willingness to be assigned to Taytay Rizal.

Responsibilities

• Review petty cash reports and conduct surprise cash counts to maintain Petty Cash Fund.
• Review monthly cash advances and recommend recoveries or salary deductions.
• Ensure accuracy of budget data entered in the accounting system.
• Review, analyze and discuss Tender Budget with PM, Cost Engineer, Planner and Procurement; assist PBA prep.
• Update cash flow projection based on the approved PBA.
• Review and approve Journal Vouchers and AP Vouchers with Project Accounting Head.
• Study contracts/NTP/TOR and finalize Finance Handover term sheet.
• Resolve OPSTAT Red Flags per the OPSTAT checklist.
• Conduct variance analysis and summarize Revenue, Cost, Margin.
• Update Project Cash Flow, Risk and Opportunity Registers and Red Flag Register.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Review all petty cash reports and conduct surprise cash count to ensure that the Petty Cash Fund is properly maintained
• Review monthly cash advance report and recommend recovery or salary deduction as applicable
• Review and ensure accuracy of budget data entered in the accounting system
• Review, analyze and discuss Tender Budget with Project Manager, Cost Engineer, Planner and Procurement Representative and assists in the preparation of Project Budget Allocation (PBA)
• Update cash flow projection based on the approved PBA
• Review and recommend approval of Journal Vouchers and Accounts Payable Vouchers (APV) to Project Accounting Head
• Study project contract, notice to proceed (NTP) or terms of reference (TOR) and relevant legal brief and finalize Finance Handover Term sheet
• Resolve Operating Status Report(OPSTAT) Red Flags reported as derived from the checklist provided under OPSTAT
• Conduct variance analysis and summarize findings: Revenue, Cost, Margin
• Update Project Cash Flow, Risk and Opportunity Register and Red Flag Register Report
