Position Title: Finance and Accounting Lead
Reports To: President and CEO
Job Summary
The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting
operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, project profitability
monitoring, cash flow management, regulatory compliance, and implementation of internal

accurate financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare monthly financial statements including:
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Analyze company financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
- Prepare management reports and financial dashboards.
- Monitor company profitability and operational expenses.
- Project Accounting and Cost Control
- Track actual project costs versus approved budgets.
- Monitor labor, materials, subcontractor, and equipment costs.
- Prepare project profitability reports.
- Coordinate with project managers to identify cost overruns and corrective actions.
- Implement job costing and project accounting procedures.
- Cash Flow Management
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor payment schedules.
- Ensure adequate working capital for ongoing projects.
- Coordinate with banks regarding loans, credit facilities, and financing requirements.
- Budgeting and Financial Planning
- Prepare annual operating budgets.
- Monitor budget versus actual performance.
- Support management in forecasting revenues and expenses.
- Develop financial models for new projects and investments.
- Accounting Operations
- Supervise general accounting functions.
- Ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain fixed asset records.
- Compliance and Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG requirements.
- Coordinate annual external audits.
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval processes.
- Prevent fraud, leakage, and unauthorized expenditures.
- Construction Industry Reporting
- Monitor project billings and collections.
- Review progress billings and retention accounts.
- Monitor contract values, variation orders, and change orders.
- Track project gross margins and completion percentages.
- Provide project performance reports to management.
Qualifications
- CPA preferred but not mandatory.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in accounting and finance.
- Minimum 3 years experience in construction, engineering, or project-based companies.
- Strong knowledge of project costing and construction accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly financial reports submitted by the 7th working day.
- Weekly cash flow forecast accuracy above 90%.
- Accounts receivable collection period below target.
- Project cost variance maintained within approved thresholds.
- Zero major BIR, SEC, or audit findings.
- Monthly project profitability reports submitted on time.
- Reduction of overdue receivables and supplier payment disputes.
