Job summary

Celebrity Cruises is seeking an experienced Baker to join our onboard culinary team. You will manage daily bakery operations, ensure quality and presentation of bread for all shipboard menus, and assist the Head Baker with production forecasts and waste control.

Responsibilities include setting up bread displays, maintaining USPH compliance, coordinating with stores, and supporting the CDP Baker with daily consumption recaps. The role requires high standards and teamwork in a cruise environment.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience as a Baker in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the Bakery Shop and production daily according to company policies.
• Responsible for the production, quality, and presentation of the bread assortment for daily menus.
• Assist Head Baker in preparing production forecasts and recording leftovers to control costs.
• Assist in set-up of the bread display in buffets.
• Ensure compliance with US Public Health rules and regulations daily.
• Maintain bakery cleanliness as per Executive Chef’s schedule and minimize equipment damage.
• Prepare bakery for USPH inspections by management or inspectors.
• Coordinate requisition and transport of items from main stores to the bakery.
• Ensure recipes and yields meet company standards.
• Assist CDP Baker with daily consumption recap.
• Learn and apply ship’s SOP to assist guests and crew with inquiries.
• Attend meetings, training activities, and all work-related duties as required.
