Job summary

Whale Cloud in the Philippines is seeking an IT engineer to manage daily O&M duties, monitor system health, and perform backups while supporting telecom software projects through the full delivery lifecycle.

You will bridge end-users with the China R&D team, translate feedback into technical requirements, assist with system, integration, and UAT testing, and coordinate with external vendors. The role requires shift work and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field.
Experience with MySQL/Oracle databases.
Experience deploying on Linux platforms.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with Claude Code/Codex tools.

Responsibilities

Resolve customer issues and monitor system health as part of daily O&M tasks.
Bridge end-users with the China R&D team, translating feedback into requirements.
Support system, integration, and UAT testing as needed.
Coordinate with external vendors on system integration and troubleshooting.
Assist the Project Manager in meeting milestones and timelines.
Provide L2/L3 technical support and explain business processes to teams and clients.
Support telecom software projects through the full delivery lifecycle.
