Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking aQualified SHESQ Officer to support liaising with government agencies for registrations and licenses in the Philippines. The role ensures compliance with DOLE, DENR and SHES-related reporting and monitors security contract obligations.

The incumbent acts as Pollution Control Officer and Safety Officer 3, and participates in implementing Integrated Management Systems along with other related duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements in terms of knowledge: CSR concepts.
• Preferably with five (5) years experience in implementing OSH, environmental and quality management systems.
• Education: College degree in the field of engineering.
• Technical competencies include crisis and emergency response, environmental management, industrial security management, program and project development, and safety and health.

Responsibilities

• Assists in liaising with government agencies for registrations and permits.
• Ensure company compliance with DOLE, DENR, and other SHES-related agencies.
• Monitor compliance to security contract requirements.
• Act as Pollution Control Officer and Safety Officer 3 of the company.
• Deputy management representative for Integrated Management System.
• Assist in implementing Integrated Management Systems and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in organization programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Responsibilities associated with this position include:

• Assists the SHESQ Sr. Manager in liaising with government agencies/authorities at the local and national level for required registrations and operational permits/licenses;
• Ensure company's compliance with laws and reporting requirements of DOLE, DENR, and other SHES-related government agencies;
• Monitors compliance to security contract requirements;
• Acts as Pollution Control Officer and Safety Officer 3 of the Company;
• Acts as the deputy management representative for Integrated Management System.

Other Related Tasks

• Assist in the implementation of Integrated Management Systems (Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, and Asset) and compliance to regulatory requirements
• Participate in the different programs of the organization
• Performs other related duties that may be assigned by immediate superior.

Qualifications:

Skills: (Minimum requirements in terms of knowledge and skills)

• Working knowledge of the concept and facets of Corporate Social Responsibility

Experience:

• Preferably with five (5) years experience in implementing OSH, environmental and quality management system

Education: (Minimum required educational attainment)

• College degree in the field of engineering

Technical Competencies:

Crisis and Emergency Response

Can implement crisis and emergency responses based on established plans; can organize ERT activities (e.g., emergency drills)

Environmental Management

Can implement environmental management programs based on set environmental objectives and legal requirements; can address problems or issues in the course of implementing environmental programs

Industrial Security Management

Can implement industrial security management system organization-wide based on standards set by the principals and industry practices; can identify security issues and considerations for applicability and risk; keeps oneself updated of emerging technology and potential security implications

Program and Project Development

Can organize and manage individual programs that are short-term in nature; can implement program/project plans based on set objectives, requirements, and timelines; can provide key inputs in program development

Safety and Health

Can prepare hazard identification, risk assessment and control (HIRAC); can participate in the implementation of health and safety programs
