Job summary

SN Aboitiz Power Group is seeking a Specialist, SHESQ (Temporary) to plan, implement, and monitor safety, health, environment, and security systems across plant operations. You will report to the SHESQ Sr. Manager and function as a Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and Safety Officer 3 (SO3).

Responsibilities include regulatory liaison, HIRAC development, and monitoring environmental programs, with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement within Integrated Management Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• SO3 OSH certifications: BOSH, COSH, Loss Control Management, HIRAC.
• Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) certification.
• 5+ years in OSH/Environmental/Quality management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in securing permits, licenses, registrations with DOLE, DENR, LGUs, DRRMs.
• Prepare HIRAC analyses and lead plant safety initiatives.
• Manage environmental programs, oversee ERT, ensure compliance with security contracts.
• Support audit readiness and conformance across IMS standards.

About the Role

SN Aboitiz Power Group is seeking a Specialist, SHESQ (Temporary) to plan, implement, and monitor Safety, Health, Environment, and Security management systems across plant operations. Reporting directly to the SHESQ Sr. Manager, this role serves as a Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and Safety Officer 3 (SO3), ensuring strict corporate and regulatory compliance while acting as a Deputy Management Representative for our Integrated Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Government Liaison: Assist in securing operational permits, licenses, and registrations with DOLE, DENR, LGUs, and DRRMs. Ensure timely submission of statutory monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reports.
• Safety & Health Leadership: Act as Safety Officer 3 (SO3). Prepare Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) analyses, and execute plant safety initiatives.
• Environmental & Security Management: Function as Pollution Control Officer (PCO). Manage plant environmental programs, oversee crisis/emergency response teams (ERT), and monitor compliance with industrial security contract standards.
• Integrated Management Systems (IMS): Serve as Deputy Management Representative, supporting audit readiness, continuous improvement, and conformance across Quality, OSH, Environmental, and Asset Management standards.

Role Qualifications

Experience & Background:

• Preferably 5 years of professional experience in implementing OSH, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
• Practical experience handling HIRAC, industrial security management, crisis/emergency response planning, and plant-level compliance.

Education & Mandatory Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Designated Safety Officer 3 (SO3) with required OSH certifications (BOSH, COSH, Loss Control Management, HIRAC).
• Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) certification.

Key Competencies:

• Comprehensive understanding of Philippine OSH, DENR, and environmental laws.
• Strong data gathering, analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with regulatory agencies, plant staff, and executive leaders.
