Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment Engineer (SHE Engineer) to oversee plantwide safety, health and environmental programs. You will report to the Plant Manager and drive KPI reporting, action plans, and cross-functional coordination across departments.

Key duties include data consolidation, policy alignment with EHS standards, internal audits, budgeting for OSHE programs, and training staff.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; license/certification preferred.
• 1+ year OSHE experience in food industry with GMP/HACCP familiarity.
• OSHE experience from manufacturing acceptable.
• Knowledge in pollution control, risk and disaster management, emergency planning.
• Aptitude for environmental and occupational laws and regulations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP; team player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data points and KPIs related to safety, health and environment.
• Create and monitor action plans; coordinate with department heads.
• Lead behavioral safety initiatives and relevant trainings.
• Investigate violations and incidents; report in timelines.
• Coordinate policy implementation with EHS standards and GMPs.
• Participate in internal audits of management systems (QMS, HACCP, HALAL, FSSC).
• Manage budget allocation for safety, health and environment programs.
• Provide coaching and mentorship on OSHE topics.
• Represent URC in engagements with LGUs and SHE groups.
• Lead emergency preparedness, pollution control, disaster and business continuity planning.
