Job summary

SGV & Co. is the Philippines’ largest professional services firm. The Audit practice performs financial audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments to strengthen governance and stakeholder trust.

We seek a senior Audit leader with CPA and 10+ years in external audit, including 8+ years in leadership. You will guide engagements, mentor teams, and drive a culture of learning in a flexible, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• CPA license in the Philippines.
• At least 10 years of work experience in external audit.
• At least 8 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and related regulatory requirements.
• Apply current audit techniques and lead teams on engagements.
• Identify risk areas within client businesses and define audit approaches.
• Schedule discussions with clients and provide authoritative advice during engagements.
• Build relationships with client personnel and demonstrate flexibility in handling issues.
• Provide leadership and administrative direction to the audit team.
• Foster a positive learning culture and coach junior members.

Audit

In Audit services, we enhance transparency and accountability through thorough assessments of financial statements and internal controls. Our offerings include financial audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments tailored to meet regulatory requirements. We provide insights that identify improvement areas and ensure adherence to best practices. By aligning audit processes with business objectives, we empower clients to strengthen governance and build stakeholder trust.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and in related financial reporting matter as well as expertise in relevant SEC, BIR, BSP and IC regulations.
• Exhibit a thorough knowledge of current audit techniques and apply them in carrying out complex audit procedures while leading teams or parts of teams on engagements.
• Identify area of risk within client’s businesses and define the appropriate audit approach.
• Arrange discussions with clients and provide authoritative advice and professionalism throughout client engagements.
• Proactively build relationship with client personnel, demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness in handling client’s problems.
• Provide the necessary leadership, judgement, and administrative direction to his/her audit team.
• Create a positive learning culture and coach and counsel junior team members and support them in their personal and professional development.

Competency Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy

Relevant Experience: At least 10 years of work experience in external audit and at least 8 years of experience in a leadership role

Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the Philippines
