Job summary

SGV, the Philippines’ leading professional services firm and EY member, invites applications for a Manager in Audit to lead engagement teams, prepare audit work programs and reports, and apply Philippine Financial Reporting Standards with a client-focused approach.

You will coach junior staff, build client relationships, review work, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance within each engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy is required.
• CPA license is required.
• Minimum 6 years external audit experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.

Audit – Financial Assurance Services

As a Manager in Audit, you will be working with your engagement team and be responsible for preparing audit work programs and reports, executing complex audit procedures with client-focused strategies, reviewing and coaching team members, building client relationships while addressing their challenges, and collaborating with other professionals within the firm.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrateexpertisein Philippine Financial Reporting Standards(PFRS)and in related financial reporting matter as well asexpertisein relevant SEC, BIR, BSP and IC regulations.
• Exhibit a thorough knowledge of current audit techniques and apply them in carrying out complex audit procedures while leading teams or parts of teams on engagements.
• Identifyareaof risk within client’s businesses and define the appropriate audit approach.
• Arrange discussions with clients and provide authoritative advice and professionalism throughout client engagements.
• Proactively buildrelationshipwith client personnel,demonstrateflexibility and resourcefulness in handling client’s problems.
• Provide the necessary leadership,judgement,and administrative direction to his/her audit team.
• Create a positive learning culture and coach and counsel junior team members and support them in their personal and professional development.

Competency Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy

Relevant Experiences: A minimum of(6) years’ workexperience inexternalaudit, at least (4) years' experiencein aleadershiprolewhich entails supervisingassociates and senior associates within theengagementteam, Strong knowledge of accounting & auditing standardsi.e.PFRS,PAS, and Taxation

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A Certified Public Accountant(CPA)license is required.
