Job summary

Pasay Harbor City Corporation is seeking a Vehicle Operation & Transport professional to safely operate assigned vehicles on reclamation, construction, and project sites. The role involves transporting personnel, materials, and equipment while ensuring proper loading, securing, and unloading to prevent damage and safety risks.

You will support mobilization and demobilization, coordinate with site teams and fleet management for dispatch, and maintain fuel, parts, and tool inventories.

Qualifications

  • At least a high school graduate; vocational/technical automotive training is an advantage.
  • Valid Professional Driver's License with appropriate restriction codes.
  • TESDA certification (e.g., Driving NC II or Automotive Servicing) is an advantage.
  • Defensive driving training and safety certifications are a plus.
  • 2–3 years of driving experience, preferably in construction sites, reclamation, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Experience in logistics or fleet operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate assigned vehicles within reclamation, construction and other project sites.

  • Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials.
  • Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment and workforce as required by operations.
  • Assist in timely delivery of construction materials, tools, fuel, and equipment to designated work zones.
  • Coordinate with Site Supervisors, Property Management, Technical Team, and Logistics for dispatch schedules.
  • Maintain organized tracking of vehicle-related supplies (fuel, lubricants, spare parts, tools).
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness; monitor utilization and downtime.

Job description

Vehicle Operation & Transport
  • Safely operated assigned vehicles (pickup trucks, service vehicles, vans, and other light-duty units) within reclamation, construction and other project sites.
  • Transport personnel, materials, tools, and equipment efficiently across project areas, access roads, and inter-island routes.
  • Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials to prevent damage or safety risks.
  • Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment and workforce as required by operations.
Site Logistics & Operational Support
  • Assist in timely delivery of construction materials, tools, fuel, and equipment to designated work zones.
  • Coordinate closely with Site Supervisors, Property Management, Technical Team, and Logistics/Fleet Management for dispatch schedules.
  • Support day-to-day site requirements including hauling of water, fuel, and small equipment when needed.
  • Maintain organized tracking of vehicle-related supplies (fuel, lubricants, spare parts, tools).
Safety Compliance & Risk Management
  • Strictly adhere to all site safety policies, traffic management plans, and operational protocols.
  • Conduct daily pre-operation inspections (checklist-based) before vehicle use (engine, brakes, tires, lights, fluids, etc.).
  • Immediately report accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and mechanical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and enforce passenger safety (e.g., proper seating, no overloading).
Vehicle Maintenance & Fleet Support
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (basic troubleshooting, cleaning, refueling, fluid checks).
  • Coordinate with Motorpool/Fleet Management for scheduled PMS, repairs, and servicing.
  • Always ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
  • Assist in monitoring vehicle utilization and downtime to support operational efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and updated records:
  • Daily trip tickets/logbooks
  • Fuel consumption reports
  • Vehicle inspection checklists
  • Delivery receipts and hauling logs
  • Support inventory tracking of transported materials and tools.
  • Submit reports on time to supervisors or Fleet Management.
Additional Operational Duties
  • Assist in minor manual tasks such as loading/unloading, basic site support, and logistics coordination.
  • Provide support during site visits, inspections, and VIP/agency coordination when assigned.
  • Respond to urgent operational needs, including extended hours during critical activities (e.g., dry season works, mobilizations).

And other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Technical Competencies:
1. Safe Driving Skills

Proficient in safe driving practices in construction/reclamation environments (rough terrain, narrow access roads, wet/muddy conditions).

2. Basic Vehicle Maintenance Knowledge
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspection and troubleshooting using standard checklists.
3. Site Logistics Awareness

Familiarity with site logistics, dispatch coordination, and material handling.

4. Fuel Management

Understanding of fuel management and monitoring (consumption tracking, safe handling).

5. Knowledge of Traffic Laws and Regulations

Knowledge of traffic rules, site safety standards, and emergency response procedures.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
Education:
