Transporting Personnel and Goods
- Safely drive company vehicles to transport staff, clients, and products to various locations as needed.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery/pickup of goods, documents, or materials between locations.
Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection
- Regularly inspect the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle (e.g., washing, fueling, oil changes).
- Keep accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Route Planning and Time Management
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries or arrivals.
- Adhere to a schedule and report any delays or issues to the supervisor promptly.
Compliance with Safety Regulations
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving.
- Adhere to company protocols regarding vehicle usage, including mileage tracking, fuel usage, and reporting.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain and submit transportation-related documentation, such as delivery logs, trip sheets, and vehicle condition reports.
- Ensure proper documentation is available for fuel, tolls, and any other expenses related to transportation.
Customer Interaction
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with staff, clients, and vendors.
- Assist in loading/unloading materials and ensure that goods are transported securely.
Emergency Preparedness
- Be prepared for unforeseen circumstances, such as accidents or breakdowns, and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.
- Ensure the vehicle is equipped with necessary emergency tools and supplies (e.g., spare tire, first aid kit).
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Licenses & Certifications: Professional Drivers License
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- Skills: Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and navigate routes using GPS and maps.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages (if applicable).
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods and perform light physical labor (e.g., loading/unloading).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
