Job summary

Unioil Petroleum Philippines, Inc. seeks a Logistics Safety Lead to develop and enforce safety protocols for transporting hazardous materials, including oil. You will oversee fleet safety, schedule maintenance, plan routes, and ensure regulatory compliance across operations.

Role requires expert safety knowledge, incident investigation, driver training, and collaboration with HSSE and terminal teams to ensure safe, compliant deliveries and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce safety protocols for transporting hazardous materials, including oil.
• Oversee safety and efficiency of the transportation fleet; implement maintenance/inspection schedules.
• Plan safe transportation routes with transport and terminal teams; conduct site inspections and JMP creation.
• Develop and update emergency response plans for oil transport incidents.
• Stay updated with transportation regulations, hazardous materials handling guidelines, and oil industry safety standards.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections of vehicles, equipment, and facilities; address non-compliance.
• Develop driver training programs covering safety, defensive driving, and emergency response; ensure certifications for hazardous materials transport.
• Lead investigations into transportation incidents; compile incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with environmental teams to minimize environmental impact; ensure spill response compliance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to promote safety culture; communicate updates to management/staff.
• Ensure real-time monitoring of deliveries using tracking systems and communication channels.
• Identify and resolve delivery-related issues; coordinate with teams to minimize customer impact.
• Provide exceptional customer service addressing inquiries and concerns about deliveries.
• Coordinate with hauler, terminal, sales and others to manage schedules and inventory availability.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and issue resolution details.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in delivery monitoring and implement solutions.
• Ensure adherence to HSSE RT standards for road transport.
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.

• Fleet Safety Management: Oversee the safety and efficiency of the transportation fleet. Implement maintenance and inspection schedules to guarantee the roadworthiness of vehicles.

• Route Safety Planning: Collaborate with transport and terminal to plan safe and efficient transportation routes, considering factors like road conditions, weather, and traffic. Does site inspection and JMP creation.

• Emergency Response Planning: Develop and update emergency response plans specific to oil transportation incidents, ensuring swift and effective action in case of accidents or spills.

• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with transportation regulations, hazardous material handling guidelines, and oil industry safety standards.

• Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct rigorous safety audits and inspections of vehicles, equipment, and transportation facilities. Address non-compliance issues promptly and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to rectify them.

• Driver Training and Certification: Develop comprehensive training programs for drivers and transportation personnel, covering safety procedures, defensive driving, and emergency response. Ensure all drivers hold the necessary certifications for transporting hazardous materials.

• Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into transportation-related incidents and accidents. Compile detailed incident reports, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

• Environmental Stewardship: Collaborate with environmental teams to minimize the impact of transportation operations on the environment. Ensure compliance with spill response procedures and regulations to prevent contamination.

• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including transport, terminal, and HSSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) departments to promote a culture of safety. Communicate safety updates, initiatives, and concerns to management and staff.

• Real-time Monitoring: Ensure dispatchers monitor delivery processes in real-time using tracking systems, software tools, and communication channels to ensure deliveries are on track and any deviations are promptly addressed.

• Issue Resolution: Identify and address delivery-related issues such as delays, route deviations, address changes, and other potential challenges. Collaborate with relevant teams to swiftly resolve issues and minimize customer impact.

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests related to delivery. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the delivery journey.

• Coordinating with Internal Teams: Collaborate with hauler, terminal, sales, and other relevant teams to coordinate delivery schedules, inventory availability, and any changes affecting the delivery process.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery activities, including tracking information, delivery confirmations, and issue resolution details.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the delivery monitoring process. Propose and implement solutions to enhance overall delivery operations.

• HSSE RT Standards: Ensure adherence to Road Transport HSSE standards
