Job summary

DAIKIN AIRCONDITIONING PHILIPPINES INC is seeking a Service Technician to provide technical service, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and installation support for Daikin air-conditioning systems in the Davao area.

You will inspect and service Daikin HVAC equipment, diagnose faults, perform refrigerant checks, assist installation and commissioning, and respond to service calls with timely technical solutions, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Technical/Vocational course, Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferably with experience in air-conditioning servicing, refrigeration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, or related technical work.
• Knowledge of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and air-conditioning equipment is an advantage.
• Willing to conduct fieldwork and travel within Davao and nearby areas as required.
• Valid driver’s license is a must and may be required depending on assigned service activities.

Job description

I. GENERAL PURPOSE

The Service Technician is responsible for providing technical service, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and installation support for Daikin air-conditioning systems. The position ensures that equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Daikin's technical standards and service procedures.

The role is primarily assigned to customers and service requirements within the Davao area and surrounding locations, providing timely and professional after-sales technical support while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct inspection, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and maintenance of Daikin air-conditioning equipment and systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities to ensure proper and efficient operation of air-conditioning units.

• Diagnose equipment problems by conducting systematic checks of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control components.

• Perform servicing activities such as refrigerant checking and charging, leak checking, cleaning, component replacement, electrical testing, and system adjustments, as required.

• Assist in the installation, commissioning, testing, and start-up of air-conditioning equipment and systems.

• Respond to service calls and customer concerns within the assigned Davao territory and provide appropriate technical solutions.

• Prepare service reports, inspection reports, maintenance records, and other required documentation accurately and on time.

• Perform other related technical and service duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior.

IV. QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of Technical/Vocational course, Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology, Mechanical Engineering.

• Preferably with experience in air-conditioning servicing, refrigeration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, or related technical work.

• Willing to conduct fieldwork and travel within Davao and nearby areas as required.

• Physically capable of performing field service activities, including working in elevated areas and carrying service tools and equipment when necessary.
